BioOne is pleased to announce the addition of Mike Di Natale, who will join the BioOne team on July 24 as Technology Project Manager. Mike will serve as an advocate for all users, and work with BioOne’s technology partners, publishers, librarians, and users to help steer the organization strategically forward.
Mike joins BioOne from Aries Systems, where he provided direct support to clients, and designed system tools and user documentation. His ability to communicate clearly with both the engineers and users of highly technical products and services is of critical importance. This skill was honed while an electrical engineering major for three years, earning a degree in journalism, and working for five years as a reporter, before finding his mission in scholarly publishing.
Mike has already made his mark in the publishing community through his leadership role on the Society for Scholarly Publishing’s Communications Committee. He has also presented on such subjects as the implementation of JATS XML to the Council of Science Editors and International Society of Managing and Technical Editors.
We warmly welcome Mike to BioOne, and are looking forward to working with him to help fulfill BioOne’s strategy and mission.
